The Healthcare Sterile Processing Program
At BreakThrough Academy, our Healthcare Sterile/Sterilization Processing program prepares students with the skills and knowledge vital for them to become true professionals, to be referred to as a Central Sterile Processing Technician.
A Certified Registered Central Sterile/Service Processing Technician would have been equipped to professionally clean, decontaminate, prepare, package, sterilize, store and distribute surgical instruments meant for use at the Healthcare facility Points-of-Use such as the Operation Room, Labor and Delivery, Emergency Room, the Clinics and the Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Students who make the great choice of joining the BreakThrough Academy training program will acquire in-depth knowledge of healthcare sterile processing practices, including a comprehensive understanding of infection control and microbiology practices. Moreover, our candidates will also acquire knowledge of Federal, State and Voluntary agencies’ standards, guidelines, and recommendations.

Dr. Anthony Kwame Mensah
Chief Executive OfficerDr. Anthony Kwame Mensah has over 30 years of experience across 8 different industries – Healthcare, Education, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Information Technology, Telecommunication, Finance, Transportation, and Insurance – across three (3) continents. He is also an astute Entrepreneur. He has worked as a Central Sterile Processing Technician with University Hospital (Newark, New Jersey), Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and Mountainside Hospital (volunteer) in Montclair, New Jersey. At the management level, he has worked at Staten Island University Hospital in New York, the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore-Maryland, and Elmhurst Hospital in New York all in the United States of America. He has also worked with Altice USA (Optimum/Cablevision) as a Technical Support Representative.
He had previously worked as a Business Developer at The Coca-Cola Bottling Company Ghana Limited, Territory Manager at Vodafone Ghana, Inter-Regional Manager Glo Mobile Ghana Communication, and Sales and Distributor Manager at Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited. He has over ten (10) years of professional experience as a trained tutor at basic and high school levels in Ghana and over seven (7) years’ experience in Healthcare Central Sterile Processing and Data Analysis Online Training.
